Helloooo,
Most of my cooking is Greek/Mediterranean/American and so it was time for a change. I went with Asian for dinner. I love Chinese and Vietnamese food, Japanese and Thai, not really a fan. No, that’s not true in regards to the Japanese cuisine I love their desserts. The cheesecake is delicious!! Stir fry broccoli with parmesan cheese what a delicious combination don’t you think so? Have you ever tried it? If not well here is your chance, so simple and yet very tasty. Broccoli boiled, baked, roasted, fried, stir-fried any way I love it. They say Broccoli is more of a winter and spring season kind of vegetable but I have to disagree, I believe that you can eat broccoli all year round. So for dinner, I made Chinese noodles with Shrimp but I needed a side dish. Stir Fry Broccoli with parmesan cheese was a great addition.
I started by cutting the broccoli head into small florets. While I was doing that I had a pot of water boiling, once I was done I added the florets into the boiling water. I boiled it just enough so that the broccoli florets were still crispy stems and all. Once I was done with that step I took out my Wok, I used olive oil rather than sesame oil to stir-fry the broccoli, I added about a tablespoon of olive oil it was just enough.
I threw all the ingredients into the Wok the florets, give it a good stir, and add the rest of the ingredients. I also added chili flakes to give the broccoli a spicy taste I minced garlic clove and kept working the stir. As far as sauces go I didn’t add Soy sauce I wanted to keep it as light as possible. I garnished the broccoli with a hint of parmesan cheese to give it a slightly salty taste.
Let me know if. you give this recipe a try. 🙂
Have a good morning/afternoon/evening everyone!!
