Greek Oregano Sweet Potato Fries

Hey there,

This Greek‑style version brings a beautiful Mediterranean twist to these Greek Oregano Sweet Potato Fries. Season the fries simply with olive oil, pepper, garlic powder, and plenty of dried Greek oregano. The result is a tray of fries that are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.

Sweet potatoes naturally caramelize in the oven, with all the delicious seasoning. This gives you those golden edges and deep orange tones that make the whole kitchen smell incredible. When you add oregano, the aroma becomes even more amazing. Fresh Greek oregano just happens to have a stronger, more fragrant taste and aroma than regular oregano.

The key to getting these fries crispy is spacing them out on the baking sheet. Sweet potatoes hold moisture, so giving them room to breathe helps them roast instead of steam. A drizzle of olive oil helps them brown beautifully, and flipping them halfway through makes sure that both sides get that golden finish. If you want the fries crisper, you can leave them in the oven for an extra few minutes just until the edges deepen in color.

These fries are perfect as a side dish, a snack, or even a light lunch with a dip. The fries pair with tzatziki, lemon yogurt sauce, or even a simple garlic mayo. They’re also a great addition to a mezze table: rustic, colorful, and easy to prepare. And because they’re baked, not fried, they’re lighter and healthier without losing any of the flavor.

These Greek Oregano Sweet Potato Fries bring a little of the Mediterranean to your table.

Wishing everyone a wonderful morning/afternoon/evening!! 🙂
