Carrot fries with garlic and parmesan cheese

Hey there friends,

Easter is slowly coming around so for those of you, foodie friends hosting Easter at home this year check out these delicious Carrot  Fries with garlic and parmesan cheese recipe.  These crispy carrot fries or sticks are easy to prepare and a treat everyone will love.  Easter is a time of celebration its also a time of celebrating with a huge variety of food.  Those delicious appetizers the greek appetizers I mean, that you can’t get enough of.  From the well-known Tzatziki dip (garlic and greek yogurt dip), Eggplant dip, and Cheese dip, to stuffed vine leaves.  But if you’re looking to add a little something different to your Easter table this Carrot fries, or sticks recipe will definitely do the trick.  (I like to call them fries because they kinda look like fries).

Everyone has carrots in their fridge, right?  garlic? and those delicious herbs,  I’m pretty sure that most of us do have these ingredients somewhere in our kitchen.  So, instead of making the same dishes for Easter why not try this new dish roasted Carrot fries with garlic and parmesan cheese, and watch how everyone reacts?   Children might not be willing to try it due to the garlic but because I don’t like to eat garlic in my batch I omitted it and added lemon juice to my carrots fries to give it a twist. The carrots only need about 10 minutes in the oven at 180c /350f but I left them in a few more minutes and I burnt them at the tips.  (I was on the phone). I usually don’t forget what I have in the oven but I’m only human. 🙂

You can also add a delicious dip to this snack, one dip that I usually make is with greek yogurt.  I will give you the recipe for this delicious and light dip in my next post.

Carrot Fries with Garlic and Parmesan Cheese

A healthy carrot snack roasted with freshly minced garlic, parsley, and parmesan cheese.
Prep Time 10 minutes
Cook Time 10 minutes
Course Appetizer, Easy, sidedish
Servings 4 servings

Ingredients
  

  • 2 carrots peeled and cut into sticks
  • tbsp olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves finely minced
  • ¼ cup parsley finely chopped
  • ½ tbsp lemon juice
  • ¼ cup parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp pepper

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 180c. In a bowl add the olive oil, lemon juice, parsley, minced garlic, paprika, and pepper. Quickly stir
    olive oil lemon juice, finely chopped parsley and minced garlic in a white bowl
  • Season the carrots sticks.
    Carrots added into the herb mixture.
  • Place a piece of parchment paper onto a baking tray and place the carrot fries. Bake for 10 minutes or until crispy. Serve hot
