Mini Bite Cinnamon Rolls

Hey there,

These Mini Bite Cinnamon Rolls are quick and so easily prepared.  Sometimes I crave a sweet snack that is not chocolate with my cup of tea.  A snack that gives me that sense of coziness and calmness and for me that snack is cinnamon rolls.  I can never get enough of cinnamon rolls because I love cinnamon.  I don’t know if you know this but in Greece when you order a cappuccino they bring cocoa and cinnamon powder to garnish your coffee.  Even at home when I prepare coffee  I top it off with cinnamon.  If you’ve never tried it and love cinnamon give it a try and see for yourself.

I usually make cinnamon rolls from scratch, but this time I took a shortcut using puff pastry.  I did a bit of research to see if other food bloggers have tried this process. Sure enough, others have tried it and so it was my turn to give it a go.  I didn’t garnish these cinnamon rolls with an ice glaze or nuts, I simply sprinkled cinnamon powder to coat.  There are days when you need that extra time to do something else rather than be in the kitchen.

Combining two ingredients makes the filling for these rolls soft brown sugar and cinnamon powder. I added more cinnamon powder than I should have to the filling.  You don’t have to add the amount I did.  If you don’t have soft brown sugar add whichever sugar you have in your cabinets it’s the cinnamon powder you need to focus on in my opinion.  I’ve been using the same strong Greek cinnamon powder for years, it has a strong smell and taste, and I love it.

If you looking to make quick Mini Bite Cinnamon rolls with only a quarter of the effort try using puff pastry for a change.  This fresh puff pastry is not frozen I was able to find it in the dairy section in my local supermarket.  They seem to have been on the market for a while now.

Wishing everyone a wonderful morning/afternoon/evening
