Hi there,
Have you ever had Cinnamon into your Pasta? If not well here is your chance to try out this delicious combination. I came across the Pasta dish about 25 years ago. I was in Greece for about 4 years, when my parents and the whollle Greek Family decided they were going to do a day trip to Halkida, Greece.
It’s about 1 1/2 outside of Athens with the new high way, but back then I think, I think it was about 3 1/2 hours. We were all squeezed together into 2 cars. ufff Big Family!! My Aunts and Uncles talked about this very old Tavern that existed (and still does) wayyyy up on a mountain top. I remember them saying that this tavern has/had the BEST PASTA.
When we arrived at the Tavern we all sat at this huge table, and were debating what to order. The Tavern basically only serves Pasta, but if I remember correctly they also had some side dishes, for example, salads, Tzatziki. When the Pasta finally arrived I looked at my cousin Julie. She was already laughing because I was making those usual facial expressions. hahahaha “What””CInnamon””Blaahhh” and much more.
Julie kept telling me that this is actually quite good, just give it a try. Now, because I trust her, I went ahead and took that first bite.. I have to say I was amazed, and surprised!! This recipe is not exactly the same as the Taverns because they do have that their little secret ingredient, but I think it comes very close. Either way this recipe tastes amazing.
I dare you to try it and if you do I definitely want to know what you thought!! 🙂 hehhehe
Let me know what you think 🙂
