Hey there!!! How is everyone? Things are good over on this side of the world..My friend arrived on Saturday and I have to admit she is in that Culture Shock stage at the moment. It does happen to everyone when we travel to new countries, seeing so many different things that it has to offer. I am truly happy that she is here so that she can experience what the Netherlands has to offer. 🙂
We returned from the airport a bit later in the day and to be honest I did not have the time to prepare anything for dinner, so I went straight for the easiest recipe that I could think of that everyone loves..PASTAAAA!!! but not just plain pasta, but Pasta Bolognese. 🙂 Since I had no tomatoes and it was already quite late I took out a few carrots that I had in the fridge and shredded them, poured in a few tablespoons of Worcestershire Sauce and poooofff I was done, a much better option for late night dinner eating. 🙂
This week I have much to saw her so we are off to the Van Gogh Museum, 🙂 (Personally, I am more of a Claude Monet fan) 🙂 but I do know that there are some of his painting in the Museum. Since I haven’t been there in over two years, I will absolutely enjoy the day at the museum and Amsterdam along with my friend. 🙂

GREEK BOLOGNESE SAUCE RECIPE WITH NO TOMATO
Ingredients
- 2 Carrots shredded
- 1 kilo Ground Beef
- 1 onion chopped
- 4 tablespoons of Soy Sauce or Worcestershire Sauce
- 1/2 cup Olive Oil
- 1 Cinnamon Stick
- Salt & Pepper
Instructions
- Add Olive Oil into pot along with the shredded carrots. Sauté until carrots are slightly golden brown.
- Continue by adding in the ground beef…along with the rest of the ingredients. Now I like to change the taste so this time around I used Worcestershire Sauce, to give it a smokier taste since there were no added tomatoes.
- Simmer for about 1 hour on low heat. Top on Pasta with Cheese and just enjoy.
