I’m back to backing again!! It was a success in baking these delicious Crunchy Savory Cookies. The first batch went well, with no issues that definitely is an accomplishment for me. I decided not to add herbs or cheeses this time but I will when I make another batch a little before Christmas.
When I was living in Athens, there was a bakery in my old neighborhood. I would always wake up with the aroma of freshly baked bread coming in through my kitchen window. Thinking back I remember walking into the bakery and being so overwhelmed by the variety of loaves of bread, pastries, snacks. But oh my gosh those snacks I would buy just a few pieces return home and indulge with a cup of coffee. There was one that I absolutely loved!! Fresh baked Mini Croissants filled with Blue cheese,,..(serious yum) Never could get enough of them.
I lived in the area for almost 20 years, so after a while, you get to know the baker, the garbage man, the postman, the woman who owned the magazine shop that not only had magazines but just about everything you could possibly imagine. You become acquainted, chat, laugh, on a daily basis. I became friends with the woman who owned the bakery and so that led to my little bag of treats was always set aside for me.
Ok, It took me just under 2 hours to write this post. The reason is that I was watching the late-night shows, and well I just couldn’t stop laughing. I sent a voice clip to my brother, but I do not believe that he was able to understand what I was saying because I was laughing.
Have a good morning/afternoon/evening, everyone 🙂
