Hi fellow foodie friends,
Ok, so the recipe for today is Baked Salmon Steaks, have you heard or seen them? I do know a few people who have never seen or heard of Salmon Steak. Actually, someone posted a photo of a Salmon Steak on Facebook. Let me explain the difference between Salmon fillet and Salmon Steak. Salmon fillet is boneless with less salmon, whereas Salmon steak does have bones but there is much more Salmon meat. If you have never tried Salmon steak and you do see it when you pop into your local fish market buy a piece grilled or baked either way it tastes delicious.
Whether it’s Salmon Steak or Salmon fillet I use the same ingredients. One of the main herbs that I use is Terragon or otherwise known as Estragon. I added olive oil and a pinch of salt on both sides of the Salmon. If I have any in the fridge (this time around I didn’t) I add chopped fresh onions. I love fresh lettuce along with Salmon so I added this on the side with olive oil and lemon juice dressing. There are no prep shots in for this recipe and the reason isI have made a video so if you go onto Tiktok or my IG account and search for foodzesty you’ll be able to see the video I uploaded.
How was everyone’s weekend? It has been quite cold here actually the temps have dropped to below 0. It is Winter and so we should try to enjoy this time of year. Take a walk outside and breathe in the crisp clean air. Some of my friends have expressed that this weather depresses them and I do understand but try to make the best of it…In just a few months Spring will be rolling around. 🙂
Have a lovely Sunday everyone!! And if you just happen to see Salmon give this Roasted Salmon Steak Recipe a try.
(I had some Salmon leftover and so I made Salmon steak sandwiches with greek yogurt) don’t miss the recipe if you love Salmon. 🙂
