Dutch Cook Book

The other day, a really good friend of mine had the day off from work, so we decided to spend the day going to Vintage/Second hand stores.  I saw many wonderful things, from furniture to children’s books to clothes.  We actually went to 4 different of these stores that day, and  had a great time.    Since, my friend is teacher the first section she goes to is the children’s section. She looks around to see what she can find to use in her class.  She actually found an Owl, we were so busy chatting away, that I forgot to ask her what she was going to say about the Owl to her class. hmmmm.

I went to the book section, and looked around and came across the cookbook section :)…Oh what joy hahahaha, I saw a few cookbooks which I found fascinating all in Dutch of course.  Then I moved on and just looked around and found so many wonderful things, now those of you who enjoy these sorts of stores know exactly what I am talking about.  🙂

So, my friend Lenneke is a very special, kind, human being, she bought me a present, and I would like to share it with you because those of you who cook will enjoy this.  She bought me a Dutch Cookbook!!!  I took a few pictures from the cook book for you to see.

I’m still trying to understand each of the recipes…way too much google translating going on here, so once I understand what each recipe is, I will post the titles 🙂

Those of you who use google translate know how funny it is sometimes.  If you really want to have a good laugh go on youtube and watch Jimmy Fallon and Idris Elba sing google translated songs.  THAT IS HYSTERICAL!!!! ON THE FLOOR HYSTERICAL!!!   It’s a MUST!!!

I will post more recipes from this cookbook so you can see the variety of recipes that exist.

Thank you Lenneke!!!!  🙂
