Shrimp, Pasta, Green Salad Recipe

Hey there friends.

How are things on your side of the world?  Hope you are staying safe!! I am doing ok but I am let’s say annoyed…I would use another word but not sure if I can. :).  Sometimes I seriously do not understand Customer Service.  I have worked as a CSR for more than 2 years and I have never been rude to a customer!!.

Let me tell you what happened this morning.  I reserved a Rug cleaning machine online and instead of filling in my husband’s name I wrote my name.  In the NL you need to have Dutch ID…(I have American and Greek)  So, I can the CS dept…phone ringing and someone picks up the phoneeee, and here we go Me:  Good morning, How are you?  Can I give you my reference number and before I could finish my sentence CSR:  NOOOO AND HANGS UP!!!  Ohhhhhhh now this is where the Greek kicks in.  I called back and started out by saying “BEFORE YOU HANG UP AGAIN LISTEN TO MEEEEEE”   That got her attention.

While trying to explain what the problem was I could hear in her responses the obnoxious attitude!! If you’ve ever met a greek in your life who is in a state of craziness you would know how I was at that point.  I continue to speak quite loudly hahaha and I finally got through to her.   Well, this morning I slammed the phone I always am very polite when I speak to someone but thissss nopeeeee!!!  All she needed to say was that it could be taken care of when we come to the store to pick up the machine.  No need to be rude and nasty!!  What is it with CS????!! this is how I started out my morning..ufff and I am still annoyed. .ok so on with the recipe.

I was happy to find radishes in the supermarket the other day.  I had forgotten how good they taste….well I think they taste good 🙂  Sometimes this is why having leftovers inspires me to combine ingredients and try something new.  And so I had leftover pasta, bought a few shrimps, combined green salads, and a lovely salad for lunch.

While talking to my bf the other day about food, she asked me what was I going to have for lunch?  Me:  Salad, BF response: Again!! hahaha   She treats me like a child sometimes hahahahaha you need to eat something else…..blah blah blah hahahahah but I do love eating salads during the summer.  But in my defense,  I do make different salads with so many different ingredients,   I also prepared lunch for tomorrow, it is a Basil Pesto Pasta Salad, I will post this next week..and it was delicious.

Have a great weekend everyone!!  Stay Safe 🙂

  1. Delicious and so easy! Sorry you had such a bad experience with a customer service rep. They(not all of them) seem to act as if, “why are you bothering me at work” LOL OH and when I get “I don’t know. I wish I could help”…ummmm well who would know and who can help? And my absolute favourite, “Yeah sorry, I don’t know/can’t do anything/why are you bothering me followed up with, “is there anything else I can do for you today?” That little LOUD voice in my head says, “you didn’t help me today” hahahaha 🙂 🙂 I too worked in customer service for pretty much ALL my life and never was rude, or left a customer hanging. If I didn’t know, I found out. If I couldn’t help, I found who could help. There was ALWAYS a resolution. Anywho, enjoy your delicious salad!

I agree!! I am a problem solver…when I was working as a CSR I would always try to find a way to help out the customer. Whenever I come across a problem here they always always respond with the word “Strange” that’s basically all they say…There are also the good ones that will definitely try their best to resolve the issue, but most do not. The one I spoke to was not just rude she was also quite obnoxious! and that is what was even more frustrating…Anyway,, stay safe my friend!! have a great weekend 🙂

  2. Thank you for sharing the recipe. It looks very delicious, definitely something we’ll be trying at home. And sorry about your customer service experience. That sounds like a nightmare!

    • Thank you so very much!! Very rude and I don’t even know this woman….Anyway, wishing you a wonderful Sunday 🙂 Sophie

  3. Seriously, they said no and hung up before you even finished the first sentence? Wow! That lady sounds like a nasty piece of work with her attitude. I understand that we’re all human and can have bad days, but this is a job they’re paid to do (as you’re well aware as a CSR) and you can’t go off making someone else’s day worse like that. Or it could just be because she’s a meanie generally and that’s her personality, in which case what’s she doing in a customer-based role?? Yikes. So will get you things sorted in store now? I hope so, you don’t want any further hassles for a rug cleaning machine (something we were going to rent a few months ago & still haven’t got around to, oops!) xxxx

    • You would think Caz after everything we have all been through these past few months that people would seriously sit and rethink some things. About enjoying life, not stressing so much, not be rude to others, being polite…Ohhhh and when she slammed the phone ohhhhhh I was P**d!!!

  4. This salad just looks lovely 💚. I’m convinced that eating pretty and good things makes everything better, even a day that starts with talking to someone nasty😉

  5. I eat salads all summer long too ❤️
