I have been trying to wrap my brain around what has happend in the last few weeks. Trying to get our life into some sort of order. I have done a lot of research in regards to heart issues, and searching for the types of food which is considered to be the healthiest. The truth is the Meditterean diet which is the Greek, Italian, Spanish Cuisine is the healthiest for everyone.The reason is because we mainly use Olive Oil in our recipes and not butter. Vegetables, Poultry, Nuts, Fish, and fresh fruit is some that I can name.
The Meditterenean diet is based on plant based food, so given this information, the Greek Cuizine, is definitely a good source for cooking healthier food. This is one of reasons why I chose to start this food blog with Greek recipes, so that I can share with others a healthier eating lifestyle.
I have looked into maybe shopping Greek products online but they are so expensive. Definitely out of budget at least for now. 🙁 But look at this delicious Low Fat Cheese Pizza recipe I found while researhing online. I found this very light version of Pizza that both my husband and I can eat. I can’t remember where I found it because I was so tired but it is definitely quite tasty.
4 Tortilla Wraps
2 cups Fresh Tomatoes
1/4 cup Olive Oil
1/4 tablespoon Sugar
1 tablespoon Oregano
1 cup Low Fat Cheese
6 Cherry Tomatoes (sliced)
In a medium size sauce pan add fresh tomatoes, oregano, olive oil and sugar. Stir and boil until thick.
Spread Tomato Sauce on Tortillia Wrap.
Add Low Fat Cheese
and some sliced Cheery Tomatoes. Pre heat oven to 200 and cook for 20 minutes.
A simple and yet delicious Pizza.
