Hi foodie friends,
We are having beautiful sunny, warm weather over on this side of the world. We spent our mornings during the weekend outdoors going to the park with Charlie, he had blast, running with other dogs and just being Charlie. If you know of basset hounds then you understand, but If not I advise you to please watch some reels on youtube and if this doesn’t make you laugh then I have no idea what would, they are hysterical. I had planned on making Salmon Sandwiches with a green salad on the side. I roasted the salmon earlier and wanted to prepare this Feta Cheese Spread Recipe when we returned.
The original Feta Cheese spread is spiced up with chili flakes or hot red peppers. Spicy food hmmm let’s see definitely should be eaten in colder weather conditions, but this is just me my opinion, my thoughts. Many of my friends do live in very hot climate countries and eat spicy food but it’s a way of life for them, it’s a part of their culture. It’s a normal everyday eating habit for them but It’s way too much heat for me.
There are similar recipes that call for mayonnaise or cream cheese. I was looking for a lighter, refreshing taste so I went with Greek yogurt. I am a huge fan of Dodoni’s greek products, so the feta cheese and Greek yogurt I usually use in my recipes are Dodoni’s. This is not sponsored by Dodoni’s I am just mentioning which brand I like to use.
A great appetizer for everyone. For those celebrating Greek Orthodox Easter add this to the Easter table watch it disappear.
Have a great week everyone!!
