Hey, there friends,
Happy New Year!! Are you ready to embark on this new year and its chapters, and what memories will be made? 🙂 I am! I’m starting the New Year by baking an Easy Homemade Toast Bread recipe. It’s cold, windy, and snowy, so baking is my jam at the moment. Hahaha.
I’ve been baking bread for a while but never posted any of the bread recipes I’ve been making. So, this year I decided to post a few recipes just in case you would like to try them out. Let’s get started with the type of flour I used in this recipe. I try to use unbleached bread flour or unbleached all-purpose flour. It’s much easier to find many Greek products now because there are Greek Supermarkets in Germany. So, if I cannot find Greek flour I go to the next best flour German flour.
I made two batches of loaf bread one with regular whole-fat milk and the other with buttermilk. There was a substantial difference with the buttermilk loaf in texture, taste, and aroma. I truly liked them both and so in regards to which type of milk to use it’s really up to you. If you’ve baked bread before then you already know the differences. If not then try out both and see which one makes your tastebuds happy.
This Homemade Toast Bread is also great for making sandwiches. Now we all love our sandwiches, so why not try making your homemade bread from scratch and see the difference with each bite? This is a simple recipe the only ingredient you may need is dry yeast. If any of you are like me I hardly ever remember to write down dry yeast on my shopping list. I simply forget simple as that, I was never really into baking. I am starting to enjoy it as time goes by.
So, if you’re looking for a soft, fluffy homemade toast, loaf bread give this recipe a go!
Have a wonderful morning/afternoon/evening everyone!
