Hello everyone,
I prepared this Blueberry Pear Smoothie as part of the celebration for Earth Day since fruits are plant-based and nutritious, and believe me, this smoothie is a great pick-me-upper. What I love about this smoothie is that I haven’t added any Greek Yogurt or bananas. Even, though I haven’t added Greek Yogurt and Bananas to this Blueberry Pear Smoothie recipe for Earth Day it still turns out thick and smooth. I love smoothies with Mango, Strawberries, and Peaches but which is my favorite smoothie? I wouldn’t know how to answer that question. What is your favorite smoothie?
Blueberries are considered to be “superfoods” packed with nutrients and oh-so-sweet. Some of the benefits of eating Blueberries are to help lower blood pressure, improve memory, prevent heart disease, and more. I like my smoothies to be simple, with no added oats, chai, etc. Important facts that everyone should think about. Too many ingredients in one smoothie sometimes confuse me :). I mainly believe that I miss out on that one taste that I want to have when drinking a smoothie, I prefer just fruits and Greek yogurt for thickness but all the rest I prefer in a bowl.
Yesterday April 22nd was Earth Day, I do hope you did try to do something for the planet in your way. Plant a beautiful tree in your garden or area, pick up any plastic you may see on the sidewalks or in the streets, and turn down the lights if it’s still daylight. These are just a few ideas that you would like to do to help this planet. My part in celebrating Earth Day II went to the forest and picked plastic water bottles. Unfortunately, people tend to throw plastic water bottles outside the garbage cans rather than in the garbage cans.
Even though Spring has arrived, I beg to differ and the reason is because the weather has not settled down. We went from 28 degrees two weeks ago to snow yesterday. I was not ready for that!!
Have a great morning/afternoon/evening everyone 🙂
