Hello there, sweet foodie friends,
Okay, so here it is: one of the easiest and yet tastiest meze, or appetizers, that you can put together in under 10 minutes: Air Fryer Marinated Shrimp! So, let me start by saying this: if you don’t own an air fryer yet… are you even living in 2025? ( just kidding!). But seriously, the air fryer is one of those kitchen gadgets you buy, thinking, “Will I really use this?” and then suddenly you’re cooking everything in it: shrimp, potatoes, even bread, and even reheating yesterday’s pizza. (me me me me me during the summer)
I had gone to the fish market a while back and bought frozen shrimp. Now, I’d love to say I came home with the freshest shrimp, but I have to think about the budget. So, frozen shrimp it was! (Frozen shrimp are lifesavers, and they work just as well.). I tossed the shrimp in a bit of olive oil, smoked paprika, pepper, and a few other tasty spices.
My first thought was to make a Pasta Shrimp dish. But then reality (the summer heat) hit me. Standing over a hot stove for an hour? Nope, not happening. It was just way too hot, and then I looked over at my Air Fryer; yes, that’s it. Popped them into the air fryer for 8–10 minutes, and boom, they come out crispy, juicy, and irresistible. The lemon definitely gave the shrimps a tangy taste. Sooo goodd!!
You can serve these Air Fryer Marinated Shrimps as an appetizer, toss them into a fresh salad, or you can do what I did: I added them to the Paella I made, which is the next recipe I will be posting this week. I went all Spanish this week. I love Paella, and these marinated shrimps really did do it justice.
Have a great morning/afternoon/evening, everyone!!
