I have one more recipe, this Roasted Walnut & Dill Dip, and another Greek cake recipe to share with you for the holidays. And then I will be officially done for the year. And when I say done, I mean done! 🙂 So you can all relax now. I won’t be bombarding you with any more holiday recipes heheh.
This Roasted Walnut & Dill Cream Cheese Dip is fresh, crunchy, creamy, and full of Greek-inspired flavors. Made with chopped walnuts, dill, cream cheese, and a scoop of Greek yogurt. It’s an easy dip that pairs beautifully with crackers, toasted pita slices, and veggie sticks. A quick and festive appetizer for holidays or any day of the week. I like to dip into this when I’m watching a series on Netflix. The last one I watched, but have not yet finished, is ABSENTIA. I’m not sure if you’ve heard of this series, but it’s a bit nerve-racking. I watched the first three episodes and took a break. I’m watching Hallmark Christmas movies, which are much lighter and happier.
I don’t know what it is about walnuts and dill together, but the combo is surprisingly delicious and so earthy. From the roasted walnuts, brightened by the dill, the creaminess from the cream cheese, and then that Greek Yogurt does wonders, waking everything up. It’s one of those dips that tastes fresh but also rich and satisfying.
I roasted the walnuts because I wanted a crunchy but smoky taste. I also made my own pita breads, but I won’t be posting that recipe this year; I’ll do that next year. When I need something fresh next to heavier holiday dishes, or when I want a snack that feels a little fancy without actually doing anything fancy, this is the dip.
This Roasted Walnut & Dill Dip looks festive, it tastes incredible, and like all good dips, it disappears fast. Always a good sign when food disappears in minutes! One more recipe, and then I’m hanging up my apron until January… maybe. Naaaahh seriously heheheh

Roasted Walnuts & Dill Dip
Equipment
- 1 bowl medium sized
- 1 frying pan small
- 1 spatula
- 1 cutting board small
- 1 knife
Ingredients
- 1 cup cream cheese
- ⅓ cup Greek yogurt full fat
- 2 tsp fresh dill finely chopped
- ½ cup walnuts chopped and roasted
- pinch of salt optional
Instructions
- Add the 1 cup cream cheese, ⅓ cup Greek yogurt, and 2 tsp fresh dill to the bowl. Combine with the spatula
- Sprinkle in the pinch of salt.
- Set aside the bowl.
- Add the chopped walnuts to the frying pan.
- Stir the walnuts around the pan until they become golden and roasted. Set aside to cool.
- Toss in those lovely roasted walnuts and give the mixture a good stir until everything comes together.
- Serve with crackers, pita bread.
