Hey there,
Ok, so today, I’m sharing one of the easiest (and most delicious!) holiday appetizers you can whip up. This Holiday Goat Cheese Log is simple. It’s festive, and it tastes like you spent way more time on it than you actually did. Sometimes the most impressive dishes are the ones that require almost no effort, right? And this Goat Cheese Log appetizer, drizzled with Orange and Lemon Balsamic vinegar, is just that. One look at it on the table and everyone thinks you went gourmet. Meanwhile, you barely lifted a finger. hahahha what did you think about the orange and lemon flavor? If you haven’t tried it yet, ohh please do!!
This holiday appetizer takes only a few minutes, I’m not joking I am serious, literally minutes to prepare. Creamy goat cheese meets a creamy balsamic that has an orange lemony taste to it. Add something festive (pistachios, walnuts, thyme, honey, pomegranate seeds, or whatever your heart is craving). It’s the perfect combination of tangy, creamy, sweet, and slightly savory, a little festive flavor of both worlds on every slice.
In Europe, goat cheese logs are usually much smaller than the big ones you find in the States. (I’m not sure about the rest of the world) For now, I prepared just one log purely because I love this appetizer (and couldn’t wait!). But for my holiday table, I’ll be doubling the logs… because one is never enough.
Serve it with toasted baguette slices, crunchy crackers, or even Greek rusks for a Mediterranean twist. One bite, and you’ll understand why this simple appetizer disappears long before the main dishes even make it to the table. The holidays are busy enough; your appetizers don’t have to be. This Holiday Goat Cheese Log is one of those recipes you can whip up in a flash!
This is a recipe I posted a few years ago; this time, it’s slightly updated. 🙂
Have a great morning/afternoon/evening, everyone! 🙂
