Hello there,
This Creamy Spinach Pasta with Salmon recipe brings together the richness of salmon with the freshness of spinach. It’s the kind of recipe that works beautifully for busy weeknights but also looks elegant enough for a weekend dinner. A while back, my Italian friend sent me a few packages of this spinach pasta. Actually, this was the last package, and I remembered that I had never posted a recipe with this pasta. So, this was a great opportunity to make this delicious, creamy dish with the fresh salmon I bought yesterday at the farmers’ fish market.
The salmon cooks gently and breaks into soft pieces that blend into the pasta without disappearing. Its natural richness adds depth to the sauce, while the spinach brings color and freshness, and the peppers add that beautiful flavor of sweetness. When you combine it with a simple creamy base, everything comes together like silk.
Rotini, penne, or tagliatelle all work well here; actually, any pasta that can hold onto the sauce. As the pasta cooks, the sauce thickens naturally, creating a creamy texture without needing heavy ingredients. A touch of lemon brightens the dish, and a sprinkle of fresh herbs adds a Mediterranean finish.
This recipe is also very flexible. You can use fresh or frozen salmon; you can also use leftover, baked, or pan‑seared salmon. It’s really up to what you are in the mood for. :). I used a light cream and added just a teaspoon of cream cheese to give it a slight thickness. I kept the sauce light because a heavy and thick sauce would have completely covered the salmon and taken away from its flavor and texture. Now, I did add orange and yellow peppers for their sweetness; adding them or not adding them is up to you. This is the way I love to eat this dish. Ohhh, ohhh, and dill, of course. 🙂
A simple Creamy Spinach Pasta with Salmon dish that you can make in the snap of your fingers hehehhehe. Let me know if you make it and your thoughts.
Wishing everyone a wonderful/morning/afternoon/evening! 🙂
