Hey there,
(Updated recipe)
I wanted to share with you one of my favourite and easy Greek appetizer recipes: Greek Pita Bread with Feta Appetizer. This pita bread is loaded with juicy cherry tomatoes, Kalamata olives, and of course fetaaaaaaa cheeese. Every bite you take will combine a piece of crisp pita bread, sweet roasted tomatoes, olives, and melted feta cheese.
It’s a really simple pita bread appetizer; all you need is pita bread or any flatbread. If you don’t have ready-made, you can always make a homemade batch of pita bread. (Just saying). It is one of those little recipes that brings Mediterranean flavors to the table without requiring much preparation or time in the kitchen. Growing up in a Greek environment, I learned that recipes don’t always have to be complex to be good. A little bread, fresh tomatoes, and cheese can go a long way. I always have pita bread on hand. I mean, it’s only logical, right? I am Greek, after all, hahahha. It’s versatile and can basically be served alongside any meal, filled or piled on with your favorite ingredients.
Ok, so for this recipe, I am giving my pita bread a little Mediterranean makeover. The tomatoes are fresh and have a lovely natural sweetness to them. I found these cherry tomatoes that were seriously so sweet that I thought I was eating honey! The olive, oh my gosh, those Greek olives bring out that familiar, slightly salty flavor that goes so well with cheese. And well, for the feta cheese, I have no words. Most of you out there around the world love this cheese, so I will just leave it at that. 🙂
Wishing everyone a wonderful morning/afternoon/evening! 🙂
