Hello,

This chocolate dessert is smooth, silky and so decadent.  What makes this chocolate mousse so decadent? The added Greek yogurt is the secret.  This Greek Yogurt Chocolatey Mousse is so simple and made with just three ingredients.  You will not find eggs, sugar, or heavy cream, I simply added Greek yogurt with 1,5% fat.   You might be thinking, just about now “Greek Yogurt” in a Chocolate Mousse dessert, and my answer is yes.  It’s a much lighter, healthier mousse version and it has a very chocolatey taste to it.  The texture is so soft and silky, you will be astonished with the result.

I know that adding yogurt may seem a bit too much because the taste of the yogurt might turn out a bit sour. That all depends on what kind of yogurt you buy.  If you go for the yogurts that say “Greek-Style Yogurt” you can be sure that it will most likely be sour.  I bought a few, mostly out of curiosity, and they were way too sour.  I ended up making Tzatziki, the Greek cucumber garlic dip.  But in this recipe I used original Greek yogurt, NOYNOY, and because I’ve added milk, it breaks down the yogurt.

The chocolate baking bar I used has 70% cocoa so there is also depth to this dessert.  The milk is organic whole milk, but you can use regular milk.  You all know I’m not a chocolate fan, but I do have to taste the recipes to be sure.  Since I usually use 2% yogurt I wasn’t sure how it would turn out with less fat than usual. I placed the mousse in the fridge for 2 hours, once it was ready, I took a small teaspoon out of the drawer,  aimed it at the bowl, I took a small scoop and it was delicious. There wasn’t much of a difference, in taste, I thought maybe the yogurt might not work, but it did, and I was happy with the result.

So, if you’re in the mood for mousse, try this Greek Yogurt Chocolatey Mousse dessert.

Have a great morning/afternoon/evening everyone!!
