HOMEMADE GREEK GYROS & PITA BREADS

Ingredients
  

  • 1 kilo Pork or Chicken
  • 1 cup Olive Oil
  • 1/2 cup Vegetable Oil
  • 1/4 cup Oregano
  • 1/4 cup Parsley
  • 2 Tablespoons Mustard mild
  • 2 Tablespoons Paprika sweet
  • Tzatziki
  • Onions diced
  • Tomatoes sliced
  • Pita Bread

Instructions
 

  • In a large bowl add the olive, vegetable oil, stir.
  • Add in the oregano and mustard.
  • continue with the paprika,
  • and last but not least the parsley.
  • Mix all the ingredients and pour over the meat.
  • Cover with plastic wrap and place in the fridge overnight. Place one piece on top of the other and use skewers to hold the meat together. Place in a pre-heated oven at 180 and cook for 1 1/2 hours.
  • I cut the pita breads into smaller pieces and sprinkled a bit of vegetable oil, and paprika. Baked them for about 10 minutes.
  • Cut meat into smaller pieces, place on pita along with tzatziki, tomatoes, onions and some of those delicious baked french fries.
