- 5 apples 3 Granny smith and 2 red apples peeled and sliced
- 2 cups self-rising flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 cup unsalted butter room temperature
- 1 ½ cups light brown sugar
- 2 eggs large
- ¼ cup brandy optional
- ½ cup milk
- 2 tbsp cinnamon powder
Add the 1 cup unsalted butter , and 1 ½ cups light brown sugar to a mixing bowl and beat until fluffy.
Preheat the oven to 180℃. Combine the 2 cups self-rising flour and the 2 tsp baking powder then sift together.
Add the 2 eggs to the flour mixture one at a time. Then pour in the ¼ cup brandy, ½ cup milk, and continue to beat.
Add the 5 apples and the 2 tbsp cinnamon powder and use a spatula to combine.
Fold the batter into the baking pan and bake for 40 minutes or until golden brown.
Set the cake aside to cool and then slice and serve.
