Hello everyone,
(updated post)
Halloween is one of those holidays that brings out the child in all of us. We all, or shall I say most of us, love decorating the house and carving pumpkins. It’s a time when we can step away from our everyday routine and enjoy something a little playful.
Creating this Halloween treat is so simple, fun, and doesn’t require turning on the oven. That’s how these Monster Oreo Cookies came to life. Made with Oreo cookies, melted chocolate, and edible candy eyes, these little monsters are easy to make and perfect for sharing with family and friends.
Growing up, Oreo cookies were always a special treat in our home. I can still remember sitting at the kitchen table with a glass of milk and a few Oreo cookies, carefully twisting them apart before taking that first bite. Some habits never change, and even today Oreo cookies remain one of my favourite sweet indulgences.
What I love most about this recipe is that anyone can make it. You don’t need baking skills, special equipment, or a lot of time. Simply melt the chocolate, dip the cookies, decorate them with candy eyes, and let your imagination take over. No two monsters will look exactly alike, which is part of the fun. If you have a microwave then melt the chocolate in the there, if not do it the way I did, old school, bain-marie. (boil water and melt) 🙂
So if you’re looking for a last-minute Halloween dessert that’s fun, easy, and absolutely adorable, give these Monster Oreo Cookies a try. You might find yourself making an extra batch because these little monsters disappear quickly!
Wishing everyone a wonderful morning/afternoon/evening! 🙂
