Greek Cheese Bread (Tyropsomo)

Greek Tyropsomo, or cheese bread, is a rustic recipe made with feta cheese. This simple bread is soft on the inside and slightly crisp on the outside. - 1 ⅓ cups self-rising flour
- ¾ cups milk
- ¾ cups yogurt Greek full-fat
- 2 eggs large and whisked
- 2 tbsp parmesan grated-optional
- 1 cup feta cheese crumbled
- 1 tsp baking powder
- ⅛ cup butter + 1 tsp for the baking pan melted
Combine the ¾ cups milk, ¾ cups yogurt, 2 eggs and ⅛ cup butter in one bowl. Whisk until smooth.
In a separate bowl mix together the 1 ⅓ cups self-rising flour, 1 tsp baking powder.
Preheat the oven to 200℃
Stir in the crumbled 1 cup feta cheese and 2 tbsp parmesan. Gently stir.
Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir until everything is well combined.
Use a baking brush to lightly coat your baking pan with the 1 tsp of butter before pouring in the batter.
Bake for 35 minutes until golden brown.
Serve hot or cold.
