Crunchy Walnut Apple Pie

A very simple and old fashion recipe that has a strong taste of Apple.

- 1 1/2 cups Butter (melted)
- 2 cups All Purpose Flour
- 1 1/2 cups Sugar
- 5 Eggs
- 3 cups Red Apples chopped into cubes
- 1 cups Granny Smith Apples chopped into cubes
- 2 tsp Baking Powder
- 1 cup Chopped Walnuts
Combine dry ingredients, flour and baking powder.
Whip butter and sugar.
In a separate bowl whip egg whites until fluffy.
Slowly add eggs whites into the dry mix. Add egg yolks into mixture and continue to beat.
Separate dough into two pieces.
Butter a baking pan and layer the bottom of the pan.
Add in the Apples.
Layer the top with the second piece of dough.
Brush top layer with melted butter. Sprinkle sugar on top to get that crunchy taste.
Bake at 200 for one hour and until golden brown.
