GREEK BEEF STEW WITH HOMEMADE NOODLES (MOSCHARAKI KOKKINISTO ME XYLOPITTES)

Ingredients
  

  • 1 kilo Beef cut in cubes
  • 1 large Onion
  • 3 Potatoes cubed
  • 1 large Carrot chopped
  • 4 fresh Tomatoes grated
  • 2 tablespoons Tomato Paste
  • 1/2 cup Dry White Wine
  • 1 cup Olive Oil
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 3 cups Noodles or Rice
  • Cheese for Topping

Instructions
 

  • In a large pot add in the olive oil, onion and the beef and sauté beef until brown. Add in the wine, tomatoes, tomato paste, salt and pepper and stir. Pour into the beef about 1/2 litre of water and cook on low heat until the sauce has thickened and it should cook for about 1 hour.
  • In a smaller pot add in water and a salt and boil. Once the water has boiled and the noodles or rice and boil.
  • Serve by adding the noodles or rice first, then continue by adding the beef stew and top off with a delicious cheese topping.
