ThHelloooo
For Valentine’s, I debated whether I should make these Walnut Brownies into heart shapes. There are so many posts of heart-shaped cookies, cakes, and brownies, posted on the net these past few days for me it was way too much. I thought about it for a while and decided not to make heart-shaped brownies this year. Instead, I made these brownies with love :). Yes, I know this might sound funny or ridiculous, but the truth is that when I cook or bake everything is made with love because I love it. Of course, I do have my moments of not wanting to cook and just wanting to order or go out but those are rare times.
I have posted two brownie recipes on my blog in the past, a flourless brownie recipe and the other was a traditional recipe, but this time I went with walnuts, I wanted to give these brownies a nuttier taste. Nuts and Chocolate yum! I was going to top these brownies off with colorful sprinkles but when I tried one out it was just too much the walnuts and the sprinkles. One important step that I take is I shift the flour, so don’t forget to shift both flour and cocoa powder. I also used Caster sugar (superfine sugar) instead of white sugar the reason is that Caster sugar is finely grounded, a better option for baking. The texture is slightly fudgy and crunchy on top so if you’re not into crunchy or fudgy don’t try this recipe. :).
(BTW I love anything heart-shaped)
It’s Superbowl weekend, I’ve always been a Pittsburgh Steelers fan and my brother has always been a Dallas Cowboys fan!! wishing Good luck to the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs!!
