Fresh Fried Cod with Aioli (Bakaliaros Skordalia)

Happy Monday!!!  Fish is definitely something I don’t post quite often.  This is actually one of the main dishes that we ordered back in May at the Tavern on the Island. We don’t eat much Fish but this is one that we do. 🙂 My husband loves Aioli so his side order is also a little extra than usual 🙂

I try to avoid frying as much as possible, but this recipe just cant be made any other way. 🙂  The Cod is fried and served with a small amount of Aioli, or otherwise known in Greek Skordalia.  Now, Aioli, is packed with boiled potatoes and garlic.  You read it correctly it is packed with Garlic, so this is definitely something I don’t even come close too.  I have given it a try in the past but …wayy too much garlic.

My Father in Law who comes from the Island of Cefalonia is the one who often makes this and his recipe asks for one HEAD OF GARLIC!!  but who am I to judge what someone likes to eat. 🙂  Now, as  Cook I often make food that I don’t eat, and Garlic is definitely one of those ingredients.  Another ingredient that I avoid are the Jalapeno Peppers,  But on the other hand I do enjoy adding Chili and Pepper flakes into my soups sometimes. 🙂

In the next few months I will post this recipe so that you can give it a try. 🙂

Have a great week everyone!!

KALI MAS OREXI!! 🙂
