Greek Mountain Tea (Sideritis Tea)

I love drinking Tea, I think even more than drinking Coffee, yep I do. The other day I mentioned that my hubby has come down with a cold, to make him feel better I gave him few cups of the Mountain Tea I had in my pantry.ย  Whenever I go back to Greece my mom and my aunt always have some of this tea on hand for me to take back with me, because the truth is it works.ย  ๐Ÿ™‚ย  ย

I am not sure if you have ever heard of this type of Tea, it is considered to be one of the healthiest, therapeutic healing herbal teas.ย  ย The Mountain Tea can be found throughout Greece high up in the mountains, where it is hand picked by the locals.ย  Actually, the tea that you see in the photo was hand-picked by my friendโ€™s Mother-In-Law who lives in a village very close to where this herbal tea is grown.ย

This Mountain Tea otherwise known as Sideritis is considered to be very powerful so during the Winter Season we drink this tea to battle the Cold, and Flu.ย  Another healing advantage this tea has is it protects the circulatory and cardiovascular system, (surprised?)ย  and yes it does taste amazing.ย  ๐Ÿ™‚ย  If you are able to find this Tea in your area I would definitely try it out.ย  ๐Ÿ™‚ย  ย

I think I am coming down with a slight cold myself so off to the kitchen to make another cup of this delicious Tea.ย  ย Have a great day everyone and keep warm. ๐Ÿ™‚
